What you are buying
A licence to use the Therapywork software. You are not buying a service we perform for you, and you are not buying clinical advice or clinical supervision. The software runs on your own device.
Your licence
A subscription licence for one practitioner, valid on up to five devices.
Your licence key is issued when you subscribe and reissued each time a payment succeeds. Keys are time-limited and arrive in your payment receipt.
You may not share your key, resell it, or use it to run more than the number of devices your licence covers.
Price and payment
£20 per month, paid in advance by card through Stripe.
The price shown is the total you pay. There is nothing added at checkout.
We may change the price. If we do, we will give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time. Your licence continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not renewed after that.
If Therapywork isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full.
We do not refund part-used periods after that.
What you are responsible for
Your passphrase and backups. Your records are encrypted on your own device with a passphrase that only you know. We never receive or store your passphrase or your records, so we cannot recover either. If you lose or forget your passphrase, or lose your device without a backup you can open, nobody can recover your records, including us. Keeping your passphrase safe and keeping up-to-date backups is your responsibility, and we are not liable for any loss that results from a lost or forgotten passphrase, a lost or damaged device, or missing backups.
- Your clients' data. You are the data controller. Your obligations under UK data protection law, your professional body's rules, and your insurer's requirements are unaffected by using this software.
- Your professional practice. The software records and organises your work. It does not check it, supervise it, or make clinical decisions.
Availability
The app runs on your device and works without a connection. A connection is needed only to receive updates and to run video calls.
We aim to keep the video server available but do not guarantee it. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of a fault, or because of something outside our control.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something significant we will give reasonable notice.
Video
Video calls are provided as part of your subscription. Use is subject to fair use: the video service is for one-to-one and small group sessions between a practitioner and their own clients, not for broadcasting, recording services, or automated use. We may limit or suspend use that threatens the service for other customers.
Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Subject to that: we are not liable for any loss of income, profit, business, contracts, goodwill or reputation, for any loss or corruption of data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises; and our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Business use
You use Therapywork in the course of your business or profession, not as a consumer.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription.
We can end your licence if you break these terms, if you do not pay, or if you use the video service in a way that harms it for others. If we do, you keep access to your own records — they are on your device and we cannot take them away.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
